William Voegeli, a senior editor of the Claremont Review of Books, is the author of Never Enough: America's Limitless Welfare State. His writings have appeared in the Christian Science Monitor, City Journal, Commentary, First Things, In Character, the Los Angeles Times, National Review, and The New Criterion. Voegeli is a visiting scholar at Claremont McKenna College's Salvatori Center. After receiving a doctorate in political science from Loyola University in Chicago he was a program officer for the John M. Olin Foundation.
